Another cool happening going on the land of the Smiling Goth: there is an entire 3D version of Nemesis's castle available for exploration in Second Life. For those who wanted yet one more reason to BUY MY NOVEL, now there are a kazillion at least. :)

Reasons to visit Nemesis's castle in Second Life? Well, it's got a superkeen labyrinth, hidden passages and rooms, a talking chat bot just chock full of artificial intelligence (enough to fool a few folks into thinking she's a real person in there), and of course, the fun experience of meeting the Smiling Goth herself.

Resurrecting SmilingGoth.com....

So... it's been a couple of years since I updated the website, you may have seen it. SmilingGoth.com?

Anyway... registering a site for my mother and finishing NEMESIS got me thinking... I should update.

I started by creating a more creative-oriented profile on here at Smiling_Goth for anyone who would like to add me as a friend.

The plan is to start a more immediately interactive area of SmilingGoth via MySpace. The Smiling_Goth profile will feature news and updates, sneak-peeks at stories, interviews, comics, art, photogrpahy, etc. Membership truly has its privs, kids, so get on the bandwagon now! :)

As for the website, the plan is to start updating this week, and have the resurrection done as soon as time allows. We're accepting submissions, so get them in to us! You can email 'em to suzi@smilinggoth.com.

Lata!

For anyone who cared enough to be worried about the Smiling Goth:

I'm doing fine after a dislocated kneecap at the Cure show on August 1st. Things have been a little hectic for me of late, running back and forth to the doctor, etc.

My knee is healing, but it's a slow process, and extremely painful.

I will try to make some updates. I promise.

Email Suzi.

Thanks to everyone who's been dropping by.
Due to illness, it's been a little tricky to stick to the Monday update schedule.

But I'm feeling much better now.... :)

Thanks for your patience and support, all fans of Ubergoth! housed at Smiling Goth Productions.

Ubergoth! Episode 5: Lady Angelika's New Clothes is now available for your viewing pleasure. PIMP IT!

I will actually try to keep it to the update schedule of Mondays-ish, but I promise nothing!!!

Ha.

Email me and let me know you care.

Well... I'm making an effort here. Right?
So... my goals for this weekend are to finish painting the mural on my ceiling, and then to update Ubergoth! with Episode 4: Enter the Deathdealer.

What started out as just a larf to amuse myself has kind of grown into a small cult following. It's really strange. But I'm dedicated, if nothing else, right?

Until the update, enjoy some pictures from this past weekend below.

Ciao fer now,

Suzi the Smiling Goth of Smiling Goth Productions

Well, I've been up to a lot actually.

They're still filming that Cameron Diaz movie around my job, so the other day I walked past the Jamaican Jerk Hut and saw a tree with a ton of very green leaves. Imagine my shock. It's only spring, yet here's this tree. On closer inspection, I realized it was a ton of fake leaves stuck on the branches. I'll give them A for effort. :)

This is one example of my latest endeavors:

This is the balcony off my apartment complete with potted herb garden and bistro set.

I started painting my ceiling mural complete with daytime sky motif:

Saturday was a pretty busy and gorgeous day. After setting up the outdoor pseudo-euro element, my friend Gendler came over and we went to get some pics of the local churchyards, etc. So here it is, a walking tour of Olde City and the sights:

Neat shot of the 1700's cemetery.

Really cool cross.

One of the more interesting graves....

Behold, the passage of time....

REALLY friendly neighbors... note sarcasm.

And this guy played a mean electric violin. And quite the philosopher as well.

And how could we get away from the holiday without this?

And that's what I've been up to lately. STUFF.

Ten o'clock Eastern Standard Time and all is well. I think.

Just finished re-creating the previously lost Episode 3 of Ubergoth! and it is available for viewing at the site.
Enjoy.

Also available for reading enjoyment is a small rant on dating and modern love found exclusively at LegionStudios.com but hiding under the guise of a commentary on 2004.

This Friday for those who feel like showing up I'll be celebrating the day that started this ball rolling at Tattooed Mom's.

In other news, I'm updating NEMESIS (yes, again). If you have previously purchased a copy, please email me and I will put you onto the waiting list for the updated version. I think it's v. 13.2.1 about now. :)

Hmmm... Let's see... what else? Cassanova is doing fine. He's a crackmonkey. But that's okay. We all need to aspire to something higher than ourselves, right?

Drop me a line.

Strange news, I think....

But first, let me start by saying "Bonjour a mes amis francais!"
I think I spelled that right.. I haven't spoken French for about ten years...

OK.... So weird news... There's a German band with the same name as MY website. How odd was THAT?? Rest assured, Smiling Goth Productions is still alive and well, and still in the States. In fact, hell, I'll check out the band and see if they're any good. If they are, I'll even give 'em a link. :)

I just really hope they're good....

It's weird... SmilingGoth.com has been online now since October of 1998. I feel so old.... :)

So... The latest addition to the Smiling Goth household arrived home today. A friend of mine started laughing at the name I gave him, since he is officially snipped. She started to call him The Castrated Cassanova. I explained Cassanova isn't castrated, just neutered. Not that it stops him from placing his head between my breasts, then placing a paw on each and looking very smug for a cat.... hmmm... Anywho, here's a pic, go check out the site.

And yes, that was taken today for everyone who has asked me for a more recent photo...

Wow. And How.

Finally getting settled in the land of Philadelphia. The site has had some minor tweakings, but due to a combined loss of internet access followed by a total system crash, it was unable to be updated as planned, and all changes to the original Episode 3 of Ubergoth! were lost.

Rest assured, as soon as I remake Episode 3, Ubergoth! will be updated ASAP. For those unfamiliar with those friends in dark places, check em out!

Any questions/suggestions (polite ones only, thanks) can be directed to suzi@smilinggoth.com.

So I made it safe and sound... more on the crazy train later.
Here's some pics for now.

A few things to update...

If all goes well, I will be heading up to the Great Green North this Wednesday, April 30th. The plan is to update while I'm away, and to take emails. So keep 'em comin'.

For now, things to amuse yourself with, my column went live at Legion Studios!! Check out the new online in-thing of LIVE NUDE GOTH. Everyone's doing it, you should, too.

Also, be sure to visit your dark buddies of Das Ubergoth! in Episode 2: Fictional Characters in which Blur Boi falls in love... with hilarious results.

Sidenote: I'm going to be updating Ubergoth every Monday. If you like what you see, please contribute to the site and help us stay up and running by buying something from the Merchandise Page.

SGP UPDATE:

It is done... well. Sort of.
At any rate, the site update is going along smoothly, and more creations have leapt straight out of my skull like Athena out of Zeus.
So check out the new comic filled with humor so dark it's worthy of a goth. Hence the name.
Das UberGoth! Episode 1: The Ring is now live. The image quality is sketchy.. heh. I made a pun. But it's the pilot episode, you could say. Next week's episode: Fictional Characters, will be much better image quality and planned to go live Monday, April 28th. So stay tuned.

The trip that was planned for the Great White North has been rescheduled to me departing on April 30th, but I will be checking email while I'm up there, and hopefully updating regularly with pics and road journal entries.

1:51pm

Sitting here listening to And One's "Panzer Mensch", and bouncing along to the electronic beat.... industrial pop if ever there was a thing. Oh who am I kidding?? STUPID AMTRAK!!!

Instead of my awesome Orlando to Newark Viewliner seating, stuck in the privacy of my own little closet with bed, they saw fit to make my ticket go *poof* and turn from the handsome prince it was into a small Coach toad. Sitting in the station I already felt like I was watching immigration's worst nightmare. I think the guys at the counter and a grand total of three people besides me and Dante actually spoke English. The rest were twittering and gawking (did they never see a white girl or something?? OK, maybe not one so pale as I, in the middle of Orlando, FL).

All my peachy plans have come to naught. Gone, all gone! No fun journal recounting of the ride, no pictures, no turkey sandwiches, no turkey salad,-- sorry... Christmas Story flashbacks. Hmm... I could go for a roast turkey right about now, and some stuffing....

So anyway, trip is postponed until the end of this month, and then HOPEFULLY they can see it in their hearts to book the RIGHT reservation for me. Grrr....

They don't seem to understand that I like people much better when I don't have to be near them...

The plans I had had to update, etc, are going forward early instead later. There will be some new writing on the site, and due to popular demand, I'm going to be keeping the artsy writing side of the site open, while also highlighting the more professional aspects of the site.
We're open to submissions as well, so get them in ASAP so we can post them.

For now, must... get... coffeee.....

MIDNIGHT

I start my journey by train today, taking off at 12:21pm, arriving tomorrow in NJ around the afternoon. For 24 hours I will have a chance to do a whole lot of things, of which I will most likely do none.

The journey will be documented through pictures and both written and electronic journals. There will be a full report of New York City and if the rumors of army personnel in the streets are true, or just more urban myth.

The return is planned for being back in town on the 21st, so any non-pressing issues can be dealt with at that time. For emergencies, write directly to me at the site, suzi@smilinggoth.com, or contact Dante Caligari. Any web design contracts in the works WILL be updated before I leave.

Keep checking back as I make my way across the country once more, for a lovely return to my old haunting grounds. There will be pics.

That's all for now.
